We encourage everyone to explore the area and take in the sights and scenery.
Ride into the past on 19th Century steam trains. Travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain as conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad and the forest.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as the best seaside park in the world. The vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and friendly attitude.
Ride the merry-go-round and learn where Grandpa Frank came up with the phrase “Reach For The Brass Ring.”
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park features 15 miles of hiking and riding trails through a forest that looks much the same as it did 200 years ago. The park is the home of the Redwood grove, with a self-guided nature path. The Park has a nature center, bookstore and campfire center.
Roberts Ranch Vineyards, positioned on a ridgetop in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, has that precise combination of sun and soil, and winds and slope to produce the raw materials for world-class Pinot Noir in the Burgundian style.
There are many vineyards and wineries in the area, but we recommend Roberts Ranch due to its proximity to the venue and lodging.
The Mystery Spot is a gravitational anomaly located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz, California. The Mystery Spot was discovered in 1939 by a group of surveyors and opened to the public in 1940. It has amazed and perplexed hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world, and many return time and time again to experience these puzzling variations of gravity, perspective, and height.
